We <3 Geeks.
We <3 Robots, Cosplay, and strange contraptions.
We know you do too.
Come play with us!
Not to be confused with the Milwaukee, WI, Odyssey Convention sometimes known by the same name, the Tampa Bay OddCon is all Odd, all the time. Taking place in sunny Florida, where the Warm comes from, the TB OddCon is a let-it-all-hang geekstravaganza for grown ups with robots, gadgets, and burlesque, oh my!
Coming October 8-10, 2010 at the Doubletree Westshore, Tampa.

Hi,
The Entertainment Consumers Association would like to know if there is any way we can have a presence at the 2010 OddCon. We are a non-profit membership organization that represents consumers of interactive entertainment in the US and Canada. Our association was founded to give gamers a collective voice with which to communicate their concerns, address their issues and focus their advocacy efforts. We are committed to a host of public policy efforts, empowering and enabling the membership to effect change. Additionally, our organization provides members substantial affinity benefits including discounts on games-related purchases and rentals, as well as community and educational initiatives. With this said, we would like to know if there may be some sort of barter where you can provide us with a booth and in return we provide members information regarding our association, free nightly newsletters, free giveaways, etc. We can promote your show in our newsletter with any banners you have, event’s calendar, and if you can offer a discount to our members to attend your event we can put this in our benefit’s section as well as promoting your show as a partner and putting your logo and description on our site. If not with a booth, we would love to give away bags and membership cards, etc.
We are also doing a petition and would love for you to help us out on promoting it. It is regarding the ‘violent video game case,’ Schwarzenegger v. EMA and taking a stance that video games should not be treated any different than movies, books, or music. If you could put this up on your site and even promote it at the event that would help out the entire gaming community.
Here’s more…
If you’re a gamer, casual or hardcore, and you care about gaming and your rights, stand up and be counted. Take a moment to help get the word out about this petition and encourage everyone you know to sign on!
